The Need for an Inspection
We at Canopex recognize the importance of your canopy. We know it functions as an advertisement for your brand, while protecting your customers from inclement weather. Because we understand its value, we are also concerned about its condition.
In the early 2000s, we began to observe a significant increase in the number of canopy structural failures. While some of these are attributed to harsh weather conditions, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, or heavy thunderstorms, there are invariably underlying conditions for such a failure. These non-weather factors, which occur alone or in conjunction, play a key role in compromising canopy stability. Unfortunately, they are usually unrecognized, until it is too late. The three most common contributing factors are poor original design or lack of maintenance of the drainage system, overloading due to re-branding or re-imaging, and poor original construction techniques.
